Silent Suffering No Longer: Moms Speak Out After Miscarriage, Stillbirth, and Infant Loss

Infant loss is one of the hardest things any parent can go through, and yet, many parents don’t know where to turn for resources and support after suffering from pregnancy or infant loss. In this episode of momrepublic, we talk about common misconceptions of miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss and where you can turn for help if you’re grieving. We chat with real mom, Kristin Church, about how she found support after her firstborn son, Dylan, was stillborn. We discuss local and international resources for bereaved parents with Robin Hills, who lost her son to SIDS, and Alison Furtwangler whose son died unexpectedly in utero at just over 20 weeks. Both went on to be prominent figures in Parent Support of Puget Sound and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (both organizations we’ll discuss on the show.)
