I was living in Brazil when I had my 2 daughters (now aged 6 and 7 years old). Breastfeeding support was nonexistent. I really struggled to feed my eldest daughter and spent many hours trawling the internet for advice and information. I only managed to breastfeed my eldest daughter for 3 months. I only have a 14 month age gap between my daughters so quickly found out I was pregnant again. I didn’t want to struggle feeding my youngest as I did my eldest. I searched for local breastfeeding support but found none. I found a wonderful lactation consultant in the UK (I am English) who agreed to support me for free via email! We emailed back and forth at least twice a day for the first month and helped me so much. Needless to say I was much more successful breastfeeding my youngest daughter.
