My Unlikely Inspiration

As we put together this month’s newsletter, I read through Diana’s inspirational article. It brought tears to my eyes. In it, she talks about life in a tent city during the great depression, and some inspiring stories that came out of these hardships.

I’m inspired by the woman in this photo because, yes, she is struggling. But her story doesn’t end there. Her resilience and her strength is what sees her and her family through a hard, hard time. And, I know the same could be said for all moms.

As Milkmakers Founder and CEO, I am in contact with a lot of moms as they address their breastfeeding challenges. It can be a struggle.  And, yet, what I hear over and over again in the voices of the moms I speak with, is strength. It takes courage and determination to push past struggles to continue to breastfeed our little ones even when it doesn’t come easily. I’m proud of each and every mom.

So, this holiday, I hope you’ll take some time to reflect on what an amazing gift you’re giving your child. They’re thankful for you, mom, even if they can’t quite say it yet. And, I hope you know it.

Happy Thanksgiving!
