Meet Katy, a Mom that Moves

I LOVE not only the feeling I get from running, but the amazing example I’m setting for my 3 girls: how to be fit and stay in shape!!

Mom that Moves Katy loves the feeling she gets from running and the example she is setting for her daughtersLast spring, I decided to become a runner. I had been working out with Stroller Strides, and was getting fitter after the birth of my second daughter (not quite a year at the time) and decided it was time to become a runner.

The day before running club started, I found out I was pregnant with my third: quite a surprise. I decided to go for it anyway.

At 15w pregnant, I ran my first 5k ever. At 16w, I ran my first 10k ever. All while breastfeeding and gestating (do you even KNOW how many calories I got to eat?! Awesome!).

I continued running through 25w and just 8w postpartum, was back out there. I’m now training for my first half marathon in June, and LOVE not only the feeling I get from running, but the amazing example I’m setting for my 3 girls: how to be fit and stay in shape!!
