Is ‘breast is best’ messaging harming babies? For centuries, breastfeeding moms have found ways to supplement their own milk supply when they didn’t produce enough milk. But modern messaging about breastfeeding sometimes makes moms feel shame about needing to supplement with formula. Today we’ll talk with 2 mothers, one a doctor and the other a journalist, who experienced breastfeeding shaming: Christie Castillo-Hegyi co-founder of The Fed is Best Foundation and Malka Main, a freelance writer and medical journalist.
